CARING FOR YOUR MANE
Your custom unit was crafted with intention, artistry, and premium materials. To keep it looking luxurious and lasting beautifully, here are the simple care rituals that protect your investment and elevate your everyday wear.
Daily Unit Care
• Store your wig on a mannequin head or inside a satin bag when not in use to maintain its natural shape.
• If your unit is installed, wrap your hair at night using a silk or satin bonnet or scarf to protect both your natural hair and the lace.
• Keep your lace clean and dry between wears to preserve the integrity of the knots and extend the overall lifespan of your unit.
Hydration & Maintenance
• Use lightweight serums or oils to enhance softness, shine, and movement without weighing the hair down.
• Avoid heavy, greasy, or alcohol-based products that can cause dryness or buildup.
• Detangle gently using a wide-tooth comb, starting from the ends and working upward to prevent shedding and maintain smoothness.
• Refresh your unit between wears with gentle brushing and minimal product for a naturally effortless look.
Heat & Styling
• Always apply a heat protectant before using hot tools on your unit.
• Keep heat levels moderate to avoid damaging the hair or altering curl patterns.
• For curly or wavy wigs, refresh the texture with a flexi-rod set, roller set, or a soft wand curl to maintain bounce and definition without excess heat.
Washing
• Wash your unit every 10–15 wears or as needed, using sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
• Rinse thoroughly, then gently blot with a towel. Do not rub, twist, or wring the hair.
• Place the wig on a stand and allow it to air-dry fully to maintain its natural shape and prevent frizz.
• Avoid drying your unit in direct sunlight or using high heat.
Longevity Tips
• Rotate between units if you wear wigs often to extend the life of each piece.
• Avoid chlorine, saltwater, and heavy sweating while wearing your wig unless the hair is properly prepped and secured.
• Handle lace gently. It is delicate and requires soft hands to prevent tearing or lifting.
• Schedule professional maintenance when needed to keep your unit looking fresh and performing at its best.
